Cable Hauling & Air Blown Fibre Installation

For almost twenty years, Telcospec has been at the forefront of hauling microducting, cable, and air-blown fiber installations. The company's extensive involvement in developing major communication networks along New Zealand's road and rail corridors has significantly contributed to the country's fibre Optic infrastructure.

Our team are experts when it comes to air blown cable installations and have proven their skills time and time again linking cities together and assisting with the growth and improvement of our country’s broadband initiatives.

Telcospec first engaged with Air Blown technologies in NZ around 2007 as part of a new independent fibre deployment that spanned from Auckland to Dunedin to form the basis of an intercity, national core optical network. Telcospec pioneered this technology into NZ alongside international suppliers fine tuning the installation process of ultra long haul installs to our unique landscapes and extreme changing weather conditions successfully.

Fast forward a few years and the UFB was born which took fibre blown technologies to new levels across the urban and metro environments leading Telcospec into more opportunities and many more thousands of km’s of cable installation across NZ.

Hauling micro ducting or cable into existing ducting networks is often more difficult than it sounds, Telcospec again have proved to be leaders in this field taking on some of the most challenging projects with ambitious hauling designs to deliver cost effective solutions minimizing the needs of building new duct lines in todays expensive world of infrastructure.

Specialised equipment is fundamental to this aspect of our operation, Telcospec invest in high quality hauling essentials and plant fit for the heavy and demanding nature of these works as well as designing and engineering bespoke equipment specific to project requirements and environments.
