In 2021, Telcospec successfully tendered and engaged directly into two large separate network builds around the Auckland region for a major Telco provider.

This consisted of installing new duct networks and utilising legacy duct networks to create a new micro ducting network between strategic sites North and South of the CBD. Telcospec engaged with multiple civil contractors to provide a turnkey solution to deliver contracted segments of the build program and worked collaboratively with other key suppliers to deliver an optimistic project collectively and successfully just on time under some extraordinary challenges of tuff ground conditions, severe and devastating weather events, Auckland’s unique traffic management logistics and unbelievable existing underground assets to navigate. 

Telcospec completed all strategic Bridge crossings with 100mm Steel Galv pipes specifically designed for each individual bridge including an overpass crossing 10 lanes of the Northern Motorway!

Our final piece of the puzzle in both projects was the very pointy end where acceptance and commission optical testing was carried out to ensure the newly installed labyrinth of fibre optic cables was to meet stringent and demanding thresholds set out by and verified independently by international optical authenticators, this portion of works was extremely demanding and involved tens of thousands of test artifacts to be captured, analyzed, methodically remediated, re tested and presented to the client as part of a handover package to complete fully each project in early 2023 and mid 2024 respectfully.
